About The Artist
For as long as I can remember, art has crept its way into every aspect of my life. Through my art I have found a way to express myself and found a way to be who I am without the concern of what others will think. As a constantly evolving artist, I have the power to learn various perspectives of how to view the universe around me with different mediums. In a way, my art has provided a way for me to breathe and be happy with who I am. It has given me a reason to be here and challenged me to the fullest to constantly improve my craft and learn new techniques. Throughout the years I have had many opportunities to experience various forms of art; extending from classical mediums such as watercolors and oils, to special FX makeup, to fabricating my own synthetic dreads, costume accessories for events, and modeling for friends involved with photography. I have worked with watercolors, ink, oils, acrylic, mosaics, wire, clay, pastel, charcoal, graphite, foam, and a handful of different fabrics. I truly enjoy combining beauty and chaos through my art; it creates an unusual balance that most people must think about for a while in order to grasp an understanding. I enjoy that challenge; it captures the most beautiful minds I have ever met. Subject matter varies depending on the point I am in life, but I try to evolve with my work as much as possible. I mostly enjoy life drawing/painting and realism. Ultimately, I have an urge to dip my toes in everything to eventually become a well-rounded artist. I am always open to new artistic opportunities and projects; my art continues to be an inspiration for my self and hopeful can inspire others in the future. Speaking of the future, I eventually would like to direct some attention towards art therapy. I believe art in all forms can touch someone in a way nothing else has the ability to do. Art reaches everyone on a personal level in an individual way and I have dreams to share that with others through my own work as well as revealing the inner artist everyone can bring to the surface. |
